MATT focuses primarily on integration, education, economic development, and advocacy. MATT implements these productive projects and initiatives to facilitate effective communication among Americans and Mexicans to help both countries work together for the betterment of the region.

MATT, founded in 2006, is a bi-national, non-partisan, non-profit organization headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, with offices in Mexico City.

MATT’s mission is to encourage Mexicans and Americans to come together to bridge the gaps of understanding and quality of life so that both nations may truly prosper together.

PROGRAMS

MATT Maestro en Casa- MATT, in collaboration with community partners throughout the U.S., helps immigrant communities in the United States integrate smoothly into American society. MMEC is a free English-learning program transmitted via radio that teaches adult students basic English and practical lessons to help them integrate more effectively into American society. The lessons are supplemented with workbooks and can be accessed on the MATT website. Lessons are aired daily and the course takes approximately 24 weeks to complete. Yes al Inglés- MATT created Yes al Inglés as a “next level” after MMEC to help train the workforce through affordable, effective and accessible English language education.
Offers the learner a language immersion experience via an online portal and strategically utilizes the social media tools and the internet in its community areas. Students will learn through different technologies: text messages, chatting, and blogging. At $6 a month, this effective and low cost model offers learners the necessary skills to become functional in English in nine months or less. For more information contact us at info@yesalingles.org

MATT Yo Soy México- Yo Soy Mexico is an economic development and labor reintegration initiative implemented by MATT in Mexico. YSM, in collaboration with the public and private sectors, analyzes available resources, enhances existing programs, and tailors them to the specific needs of the community. This program helps individuals re-integrate into the community. MATT analyze their labor profiles and link them with better opportunities. MATT Registro Civil is a collaboration with Registro Civil de Coahuila in an effort to create a better future together. At our headquarters, MATT offers immigrants in the U.S. allowing them to access legal documents (birth, death and marriage certificates) with the goal of giving migrants the essential resources needed to establish their identity. Advocacy- Since 2007, MATT has been active to promote comprehensive immigration reform as a national issue and the need for continued immigrant integration programs.
Produced and distributes radio and television ad in English and Spanish that promotes CIR and urges leaders to “Finish the Job”
