Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts (MTPA) is creating a sustainable world-class performing arts and conference center, offering premier artistic programming, innovative and inclusive arts education, and a unique cultural venue for the greater Annapolis region and the state of Maryland.
The 65,000 square foot performing arts and conference center will be located at Park Place in the heart of the Annapolis’ Arts and Entertainment District. The facility will feature:
A 1,200-seat main stage with premier acoustics and state-of-the-art live streaming technology. The orchestra level can easily and quickly transform to a flat floor that can accommodate trade shows, banquets, and other conference needs.
The performing arts and conference center will also include a 300-seat flexible theater, along with lounge and concessions areas, a green room and various multi-use spaces for meetings, presentations, rehearsals, and more.
Additionally there will be two lobby areas, one at the Plaza level of Park Place and one fronting Taylor Avenue, connected by a large gallery area for visual art displays.
