Markus Kier is a Division I wide receiver and member of UCLA Football's 2026 recruiting class. A standout student-athlete from Southern California, Markus has distinguished himself through excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and community service.
During his high school football career, Markus earned recognition as one of the region's promising wide receiver prospects. At Loyola High School, he delivered an outstanding junior season with 75 receptions, 949 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns, helping establish himself as a dynamic playmaker and attracting the attention of collegiate recruiters nationwide. His combination of size, athleticism, strong hands, football IQ, and disciplined work ethic made him a valuable contributor on and off the field.
Markus continued his academic and athletic journey at Orange Lutheran High School, where he graduated Cum Laude while balancing the demands of elite-level athletics and rigorous academics. His commitment to excellence in the classroom reflects the same determination and focus that have fueled his success in sports.
Beyond football, Markus is dedicated to serving others. During the 2025-2026 school year, he completed more than 100 volunteer hours with the Children's Ministry at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. Working primarily with second-grade students, he assisted ministry leaders, supported classroom activities, welcomed families, and served as a positive role model for young children. His service demonstrates a genuine commitment to faith, leadership, and community impact.
