About

Stuf is the brainchild of mother and daughter writing and business team Janet and Laura Greenwald. Since 2002 the Greenwald’s have been helming the non-profit Next of Kin Education Project. The project, which they founded after a family tragedy, provides hospitals with the techniques and resources needed to notify and reunite trauma victims, John Does and unconscious emergency room patients with their loved ones quickly and easily. After distributing the Seven Steps Notification System to over 100,000 health care professionals, NOKEP created the Safer Family Action Plan, a unique system designed to help families nationwide capture their vital medical and emergency information into one portable form, so that they can “grab their information and go” the moment it’s needed. That’s why the mother and daughter duo created Stuf. Janet and Laura combined their unique system for documenting medical and vital information with cutting-edge technology and a secure online system to create a secure online repository where college students and their parents can safeguard a student’s detailed medical and emergency contact information, insurance and financial information. In short, information that a student would need to have at his or her fingertips, without having it lying around unsecured, where anyone could get his hands on it.
