MCE History

MCE originated as the Middleton Community Foundation in 1991.  It was established by Mayor Dan Ramsey with $25,000 in resources.  From 1991-2007 the Middleton Community Foundation supported many worthwhile activities and grew to $32,000.  In 2007, recognizing the administrative challenges of operating the Foundation and the opportunity to grow the endowment, the Foundation accepted a $50,000 challenge grant from the Madison Community Foundation (MCF).  Together with MCF, the principal of the fund was grown to $150,000 and is now administered by MCF for the benefit of Middleton.
