About

MOSES, THE AUTHOR is a World Premiere comedy written by award-winning author Andrew R. Heinze and directed by Drama Desk Award-winner Amy Wright. It is a humorous, poignant, family-friendly exploration of the man who led the Jews to the Promised Land -- a family man, a writer . . . and a guy with a variety of real problems.  Moses has issues with his career (writer’s block, a hellish deadline), his family (gay son, rocky marriage, distant mother), and God (existential).  He’s not happy with the Bible, but to make a better Bible he must become a better man. A love story, with scrolls.

MOSES, THE AUTHOR will be presented as part of the 18th Annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC (held this year from August 8th - 24th, 2014). It will play five performances at 'Fringe Venue #17,' at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal) – on Sunday, 8/10 at 2:15 pm; Wednesday, 8/13 at 9:45 pm; Saturday, 8/20 at 2 pm; Thursday, 8/21 at 9:00 pm; and Saturday, 8/23 at 9:15 pm.
