Motivating Max provides evidence-based health and fitness advice. Dr Massimo (Max) Vencato is the creator of Motivating Max, packing many years of experience, research and expertise into a hub where everyone can find something that strikes a chord.

Having completed a doctorate (PhD) in Sports and Exercise Psychology and a Degree in Sports Sciences (first class with honours), Massimo works today as a cardiac rehabilitation trainer and lecturer in Sports and Exercise Psychology at Brunel University London.

For the last 7 years, he has also lectured on Principles of Sports Nutrition to students at The London School of Sports and Remedial Massage.

Dr David-Lee Priest also contributes extensively to the website. He completed his doctoral degree (PhD) in health psychology on a project that addressed ways to curb physical inactivity. During this ten year programme of study, he developed a psychometric instrument and associated technology to measure physical activity from a behavioural-change perspective.

His academic qualifications include a PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology and a First Class Degree in Sports Sciences with a specialism in exercise psychology. During his time at University David worked as a personal trainer in a London gymnasium and also represented his University in athletics.

Today, he works at the University of East Anglia as a lecturer in Psychology where he teaches on Brain Anatomy and Mental Health.
