About |
The National Coalition for Men (NCFM), is a 501(c)(3) civil rights and education nonprofit, founded in 1977, stands as the nation’s oldest men’s rights organization and a leading force for gender fairness.
We champion a gender inclusive, nonpartisan, ethnically diverse movement that actively confronts harmful discrimination and stereotypes affecting boys, men, their families, and the women who love them.
We work to ensure that civil rights protections apply equally to everyone, regardless of sex, and we challenge policies and cultural narratives that marginalize or misrepresent men and boys.
NCFM advances this mission through direct advocacy, public education, community outreach, support services, and strategic litigation that targets laws and institutions perpetuating gender-based inequities.
We address critical issues including family law disparities, domestic violence policy reform, false accusations, criminal justice inequities, military conscription, mental health challenges, homelessness, and the educational struggles facing boys and young men. We also support women and families affected by these same systemic problems, recognizing that gender bias harms entire communities.
Our chapters, international liaisons and members provide resources, referrals, and hands on support to individuals facing discrimination, legal challenges, or gender related policy concerns.
Our volunteers and advisors engage lawmakers, media, academic institutions, and community organizations to promote evidence-based reforms and foster balanced public dialogue throughout the United States and numerous countries.
We file lawsuits and amicus briefs, supports impact litigation, and collaborate with attorneys on cases involving equal protection, due process, and discriminatory government or corporate practices. NCFM has contributed to landmark cases involving selective service registration, Title IX enforcement, family court procedures, and workplace discrimination.
Beyond litigation, we produce educational materials, host public events, and lead outreach campaigns that raise awareness about men’s issues and promote a more accurate understanding of gender dynamics. Our research and commentary help inform policymakers, journalists, and the public.
For nearly five decades, NCFM has worked to build a more equitable society by promoting fairness, compassion, and accountability in laws, policies, and cultural attitudes. We welcome supporters of all genders who share our commitment to ending discrimination and ensuring equal treatment under the law.
