About

The National Certification Medical Association, NCMA is a national certification agency and academic professional membership association. Our mission is to insure healthcare professionals practice at the highest quality of the Allied Health and Patient Care competencies.  Our goal is to reduce pre-analytical errors and improve the quality of patient care by creating a workforce of highly skilled healthcare professionals.

As we all know, the quality of care and treatment relies heavily on the quality of the specimens used to direct that treatment.  If these specimens are poor or compromised in any way, physicians and other healthcare providers may be unable to provide meaningful treatment or they may require the tests be repeated.  This results in misdiagnosis and untold expenses for the patient and for the healthcare facility.

We believe we can help make a meaningful change to improve the quality of specimens and therefore, their impact on patient care and treatment.

In order to achieve our mission and provide the highest quality competency based evaluation testing, NCMA has raised the bar of standard evaluations in both theory and clinical assessments. Our assessments are offered to new graduates, practitioners and educators. Our agency is the first of its kind who requires the verification of medical skills through a multi-part evaluation. Unlike other certification agencies, NCMA believes it is critical to evaluate the professionals' basic knowledge and assess their clinical competency. This insures verification for employers that these healthcare practitioners have developed mastery in both the didactic and clinical skills.

NCMA is deeply committed to Continuing Education and our Continuing Education department works tirelessly to bring to our members the latest procedures and technologies to promote better patient care. We take pride in educating our members how to perform the most common hospital procedures and we are going to continue working hard to be the model of excellence in allied health professions competency testing.
