NICKY'S GARDENS OF HOPE

Nicky's Gardens of Hope is a start-up not-for-profit, raising funding for a residence for 150 autistic and intellectually disabled adults in Hudson Valley New York. This "open village" will provide holistic services for residents, their families, and the community… businesses, work opportunities, vacation and recreation services, and education in Hudson Valley New York.

When autistic, Intellectually & Developmentally Disabled (IDD) children turn 21, they lose all their services and need to be transitioned to new providers. Unfortunately, while the lifespans of IDD adults has expended, and old badly run facilities have been closed, new providers have not appeared and new government money has not followed.

That's why Nicky's Gardens has created a new financial model that has attracted a lot of attention from Social Good Investors, and may revolutionize the care of our most fragile citizens.
