Not Just Tourists, founded 30 years ago, has been facilitating the transport of medical supplies and equipment to over 82 countries worldwide. Through NJT, international travelers have delivered over 10,000 suitcases and over one million pounds of supplies and equipment.

Not Just Tourists (NJT) collects donations of surplus medical supplies from hospitals, pharmacies and other sources which would otherwise be thrown into landfills due to US regulations. They pack those supplies into donated suitcases for delivery by travelers visiting developing countries. With a suitcase fully loaded with medical supplies, and a suitable recipient clinic at their destination, NJT makes it simple and rewarding for tourists to give back to the communities they visit. NJT also provides bulk medical supplies to support humanitarian missions. NJT is a non-profit, non-political humanitarian organization and does not accept financial donations.

NJT-OC (Orange County, CA) is the largest chapter in the network and is on track to deliver 500 free suitcases of medical supplies to humanitarian travelers in 2023 alone, including missions to Ukraine, Turkish earthquake zone and most recently the Maui fires.
