Dr. John Crawford is from Glens Falls, New York. Growing up as a dedicated athlete, he suffered several athletic injuries. Over time he became very curious about how to properly heal the human body and more quickly get back in the game. During his high school senior year Dr. Crawford was accepted into a rigorous New Visions Health program where he dedicated his entire senior year taking medical school prep classes and shadowed over 30 different medical professionals. It was at this time Dr. Crawford definitively knew he wanted to dedicate his life learning about the body and helping people.
Dr. Crawford attended Hobart College where he got a Bachelors of Science in Biology with a Health Professions Minor. As a freshman Dr. Crawford became an EMT and thus began his clinical career working directly with patients. As a result, Dr. Crawford has spent nearly a decade working as a healthcare professional. On the final day of his undergraduate classes, Dr. Crawford began his graduate studies at New York Chiropractic College.
At this point Dr. Crawford began taking a local martial arts class to stay fit and gain the strength required for his new career.
Within a few years, Dr. Crawford became fascinated with the culture and medical system that was deeply embedded within the style of kung fu he was learning. Dr. Crawford then enrolled in another school, the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, where he spent three years earning his Masters of Science degree in acupuncture. Today Dr. Crawford is using all of his skills to benefit the patients at Natural Health Chiropractic & Acupuncture.
