Newham College, a further education institution in East London, was established in 1985 with origins dating back to the late 1800s. It operates campuses in East Ham, Stratford, and Canning Town, serving about 9,000 students annually with a wide range of courses, including study programmes, vocational pathways, apprenticeships, and higher education.

Rated Good by Ofsted in November 2022, Newham College was the first in the UK to be recognised for its strong contribution to local skills needs. Its curriculum aligns with local, regional, and government educational policies. The College also oversees the London City Institute of Technology, in partnership with Queen Mary University of London.

Newham College excels in preparing students for employment and apprenticeships, supported by a strong safeguarding culture and robust support for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

With a turnover of £39m and outstanding financial health (DfE), the College has been a top-performing FE college in London for the past six years, based on student achievement rates. Its financial strength has enabled £55m in capital investments and significant staff development, fostering a thriving environment for both students and staff.
