The principals of the company are CEO Steve Burge, CFO Eddie Tabush and Director of Training Rod Martin.

Originally from the U.K., Steve Burge now lives in Sarasota, Fla. He was a teacher for many years before starting Alledia.com, a web development firm. After several years of full-time web work, the desire to teach came back. So he started Open Source Training. He now travels widely teaching people how to use Joomla, WordPress and Drupal. He has been heavily involved in various Open Source projects, writing books, starting user groups and serving as a board member.

Rod Martin, director of training, holds two master’s degrees and has been training people how to do "things" for over 25 years. Originally from Australia, he grew up in Canada and now resides just outside Cincinnati, Ohio. He has worked in both the non-profit and for-profit worlds, in small companies and large corporations. Rod's extensive open source experience includes WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Moodle. Simply, he knows how to help learners get the most out of the systems they chose. Rod plays ice hockey a couple of times a week and rides his Goldwing motorbike pretty much everywhere he can.

Eddie Tabush, chief financial officer and angel investor, is the owner of Meritage Assets, which owns Joomlashack. A serial entrepreneur, during the last 15 years, Eddie's gone from selling computers, to wine and cheese, to rehab services, to this, his most recent acquisition. Eddie is most proud of his work with Habitat for Humanity Guatemala since 1998. He serves as treasurer on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity International, which oversees the program in the whole world. For his social work, Eddie has been awarded a fellowship in the Central American Leadership Initiative, a values-based leadership program of the Aspen Institute. He lives in Guatemala City.
