If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a visit to the Oren Dunn City Museum is worth a million. From a vintage village to year round programming, visitors are invited to relive the history of Tupelo and Northeast Mississippi and see for your self why Tupelo was named an “All-America City.”
Located in Ballard Park, you will have access to playgrounds, picnic areas & a lakeside walking trail. When you leave, you can truly say, “I made history at the Oren Dunn City Museum!”
Founded by history buff and storyteller, Oren F. Dunn, the museum has boldly entered her second twenty-five years of chronicling the region’s history and community development in a converted 1937 dairy barn, once part of Forest Lake Farms, known internationally for its prized pure bred Jersey herds.
Remodeled to enliven what makes the Tupelo community great among its peers, the Oren Dunn City Museum weaves a beautiful tapestry of what makes Tupelo great. To bring this wonderful story to life, the museum displays Tupelo’s splendor from its founding history to the present. For the rest of the story, visit Oren Dunn City Museum!
