About

South African owned Postbox Courier has been operation in South Africa for over 3 years and is dedicated to online shoppers and businesses who purchase and import goods from overseas. It can save consumers up to 70% in overseas shipping costs and provide a reliable alternative to the current courier and postal services.
“We have found that many overseas retailers, such as Amazon, Zappos, Light in the Box, Aliexpress and eBay, either don’t offer international delivery on certain products or those that do, charge excessive fees or use unreliable delivery services,” explains Co-founder Gary Hamilton.
“The company was founded in 2012 in the United Kingdom” Gary Hamilton explained “Friends and family were looking for a dependable way of sending packages back to South Africa. Since its launch the company has expanded to the United States and Hong Kong. The company recently opened up offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg to directly address the South African market and will be shortly opening in Dubai and Australia.
We will also shortly be providing a similar export service from South Africa enabling expats living abroad access to local products and give domestics online shops a new overseas market.”
We provide customers with a central delivery point in the US, UK, Australia, Hong Kong and South Africa, to which their online purchases are posted or delivered by the supplier. Purchases can then be grouped into one delivery and be shipped to the door throughout SA within a 3-5 day period. In this way, we are able to save online shoppers and businesses up to 70% on their shipping costs to South Africa.
Registration is free and users get allocated personal post-box addresses at all of the company’s worldwide depots, and can then use the system’s online tracking functionality to send and track their parcel shipments all the way to their front door.
