About

Paperlicious launched in New York City in 2005 with the goal of bringing a fun rock star perspective to the world of custom printed invitations, birth announcements, and social stationery. Owner/Designer Amy DeRouen Nelson had first hand experience planning raucous parties and shining shindigs for the likes of Kid Rock, Simple Plan, Matchbox 20, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Sugar Ray in her almost 10 years at Lava Records. And having worked with the likes of Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Fleetwood Mac, Jewel, Eric Clapton, and more in her 15 year music career, Nelson knew Rock Star Cool.

Her experience in entertainment and event-planning in the music industry led to the practice of designing individual paper-goods for friends' parties and life events. Ms. DeRouen-Nelson designed all of the paper for her 2005 wedding to Troy Nelson, then Editor-In-Chief of Guitar One Magazine (and author of the wildly popular Guitar Aerobics. Plug!). Their wedding can still be seen on E! Style Network's Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?

And when Owner/Designer Nelson gave birth to twins, she saw a whole new world of design possibilities. Every year new products are added, like gift tags, luggage tags, camp notes, recipe cards, custom Valentines, and more. We are pretty proud of our unique ideas (like our Rock Star Invitations and Momager Calling CardsTM) and think we have the perfect mix of contemporary stylish designs at affordable prices. Notable clients include Kid Rock, singer/actress and Dancing with the Stars alum Willa Ford, and Desparate Housewives’ Nicollette Sheridan, to name a few.
