PermianMuseum is a free Paleo-Biology website focusing on quantum speciation by DNA reassortment. Quantum Speciation events are also called "explosion of life events" and have been observed periodically during earth's history. One such event happened around 250 million years ago during the Permian Period, and introduced a new cast of characters that gave rise to the age of the dinosaurs. The website focuses on a large collection of newly discovered fossils from the Permian Period that provide a new narrative on how a quantum speciation event occurs. Individual fossils are added on an ongoing basis and include the fossilized structures that hosted the grab bag DNA reassortment process that creates new life forms as well as an extensive collection of life forms created by this process, some of which clearly went on to become the dinosaurs, and most of which never made it into earth's playbook of life.
