Republican candidate Phillip Messer graduated from West Central High School in 1986 and pursued higher education at Omega Bible Institute .
Phillip currently serves the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department as a Chaplin and the Pulaski County 4 H Fair Board and Beef Committee member.
Phillip has been honored to be Minister of the Day at both the State Senate and the State House of Representatives. He is also an ordained minister.
He is a member of the Indiana Association of Home Educator's, being the Region 1 Representative. He strongly believes that parents should have more rights when educating their children than the government does and that as parents we have the right to choose where our children attend school and what they are being taught.
Phillip has been married to his wife Anita for twenty years and they have two children Levi and Raquel, they reside on a farm near Francesville Indiana .
Phillip is the most qualified candidate for the State Senate District 18 simply because he has similar values of the District and really cares what people are thinking and will carry those values to the State Senate office.
