About |
At Promise Ranch, we offer therapeutic riding and horsemanship lessons as well as hippotherapy treatment sessions. No matter the program, our riders benefit in many different ways, from improving balance, strength, and postural control, to developing language and social skills.
Therapeutic riding lessons provide a normalizing activity for our riders. Being able to partner with a horse on the ground or under saddle gives our participants a sense of confidence, self-esteem, and self-awareness.
Promise Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Franktown, CO, that offers equine assisted activities and therapies for individuals with disabilities. Promise Ranch is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) Intl. Member Center and an American Hippotherapy Association (AHA) Facility Member.
At Promise Ranch, our philosophy is to empower individuals with disabilities. We strive to promote independence and a ‘can do’ attitude among our participants, and we always encourage them to surpass goals and exceed expectations.
Through the attainment of functional goals in hippotherapy treatment sessions, and through the learning of purposeful skills in therapeutic riding and horsemanship, our participants become better prepared to engage with family, friends, and community members and contribute positively within our societies.
