Pontiac Creative Arts Center

The Pontiac Creative Arts Center’s mission is “Cultivating arts and culture in the community through exhibitions, education, and outreach.”  Most notable art exhibitions were the juried “Kalidescope of Expression” show that celebrated art from the LGBTQA+ community, Synergy Redefined, Pathways, and Unity that showcased ALL artists of color.  The “Art Kit” program created by Andrew Lathrup and Patrizia Makohon, is a bi-weekly program that creates educational based art projects for children of ages 8 - 16.  To date, over 2,000 art kits have been distributed to Pontiac and the surrounding communities.
