The product range, distributed under the ''Purex'' name, includes:

Superflow Tip Purification Systems

These systems are designed for high pressure extraction of harmful solder fume direct from the tip of soldering irons without cooling the tip. Solder and flux is used to join wires or components on a circuit board together. The soldering iron has a heated tip that melts the solder with the flux creating a harmful fume that must be dealt with using extraction. Soldering irons are used in a variety of environments, including:

-Assembly
-Rework and repair stations
-Training workshop
-Schools & Colleges
-A budget ‘3-10 Tip’ system is also available to protect up to 10 workers who only solder occasionally.

Superflow Arm Purification Systems

Designed to protect personnel from inhaling hazardous fumes and dust from a wide range of manual and automated processes. The system can connect up to 50 workbench extraction arms to one centralized unit. Uses include:

-Manual soldering
-Etching, marking, grinding & cutting
-Powder handling & packaging
-High volume chemical handling
-Laboratory and education work
-Welding
-General metalworking

A comprehensive range of accessories is also available, including arms, nozzles, cowls and pipework.

Powerflow Purification Systems

These systems are designed for high volume or high pressure purification of fume and dust from many types of machinery and can be connected to standard or custom extraction manifolds. By carefully matching the correct combination of pre-filters and main filters, the Powerflow system can be used to remove and purify hazardous fumes and dust from:

-Wave soldering machines
-Reflow soldering machines
-Robotic soldering machines
-Curing ovens
-Laserex, Laserex Alpha and Xbase Systems

Designed to protect personnel from inhaling hazardous fumes and dust that are generated when a material is marked, cut, engraved or welded with a laser. Uses include:

- Laser marking and coding of packaging and products with traceable information such as barcodes, batch codes and sell by dates
- Laser welding of metals
- Laser cutting of a variety of materials
- Engraving logos, text and other images onto a wide variety of materials. These lasers can also be used to cut thin sheet materials.
- Lasers are used to process a wide and varied list of materials. This means that many different types of fume and dust can be generated in differing volumes. Purex are seen by many as the specialist in laser fume extraction and have an extensive model range to cope with demanding applications.

A budget ‘Laserex Alpha’ system is also available along with the ‘Xbase’ for flatbed laser engravers.

Cleancab Fume Purification Cabinet

Developed to provide complete freedom to work over a wide enclosed area where it is essential to operate on several processes at once. Shatterproof and chemically resistant, the cabinets can enclose the source of rapidly spreading fumes enabling them to be captured before they contaminate the work environment. The cabinets connect to Purex Arm Purification systems and achieve extremely high standards of cleanliness. The products are designed to extract fumes from stand-alone processes, or from several processes, simultaneously. These include:

- Cleaning, gluing & varnishing
- General chemical and biological treatments
- Chemical storage and handling
- Tinning and potting
- Fumebuster & FumeCube Systems

The innovative Fumebuster system protects up to four personnel from inhaling hazardous fumes and dust at the workbench using low cost, easy to install kits. Customers are able to choose from high volume 75mm diameter extraction arms, high velocity 38mm diameter arms, aerodynamically efficient plenum cowls or Cleancabs. The robust design ensures the system is equally suited to the workshop and the production line, where it is used to purify fumes from:

- Tinning and potting
- Gluing
- Soldering assembly & rework and repair stations
- Chemical treatments
- The FumeCube is a low cost system that can protect one or two workers from harmful dust and fume using 38mm stainless steel flexible arms and mounting brackets.

Styromelt

Polystyrene is an excellent packaging material due to its insulating and protective properties. Unfortunately, once goods are delivered and opened polystyrene then becomes a waste material that companies must pay to dispose of.

The Styromelt machine from Purex essentially melts polystyrene to form a dense block of material that is reduced in volume by over 95% of the original material. So a 2 cubic metre load of polystyrene comes out of the machine as a small block approximately 90cm x 25cm x 5cm. The block can be stored and sold to recycling companies who then turn it into fuels such as diesel or new products such as garden furniture.
