Seeing a unanswered need, several Pflugerville Animal Shelter Volunteers established a new non-profit organization (federal tax-exempt status pending at this time), Pflugerville Pets Alive (PPA), to provide a way for the community of Pflugerville to make a difference in the lives of animals in Pflugerville including those in the care of the Pflugerville Animal Shelter. The organization will focus on finding homes for all animals in the care of the Pflugerville Animal Shelter that are healthy and/or treatable, raising money for Pflugerville animals and to complete projects at the Pflugerville Animal Shelter to better the lives of the animals that are in its care, to creating community awareness that Pflugerville has an Animal Shelter, and to support, educate and promote animal welfare issues in Pflugerville.
