R. J. Thomas Mfg. Co. Inc. designs and builds the Pilot Rock brand of park, streetscape and camp site equipment. The Pilot Rock product line includes: park benches, accessible benches, picnic tables, accessible picnic tables, children's picnic tables, trash and recycling containers and lids, animal proof trash and recycling containers, park utility tables, outdoor planters, bike racks, charcoal grills, campfire rings, traffic bollards, flag poles and more. Pilot Rock brand products are manufactured at our factory near Cherokee, Iowa, USA. The company has operated from the same location since 1959.  We sell primarily to: city, county, state and federal government parks and campgrounds; commerical RV parks and campgrounds; schools and colleges; recreation facilities and swimming pools; housing and apartment associations; churches, scouts and other service organizations; and businesses. All Pilot Rock brand products are designed and built for commercial applications, heavy use and constant exposure to the elements.  We hold multiple federal, state and city contracts for park equipment.  We sell factory direct throughout the United States and Canada.  We also sell overseas primarilty through our U.S. federal government contracts. R.J. Thomas Mfg. Co. is a privately held, family owned corporation headquartered in Cherokee, Iowa.
