“ONLY BOLD VISIONS MAKE HISTORY!” (Ray Ashton, Founder, CEO & CTO)

RTOS is an orbital and planetary spacecraft, designed specifically for such missions.

Any rocket or spacecraft ever designed, built, and launched to date, has followed identical principles originating from the Apollo era, with some improvements, of course.

One cannot overlook the accomplishments of other companies, such as bringing back the First Stage of their rockets to be refurbished for potential reuse. That is progress indeed; however, to truly make the human race a multi-planetary species, a lot has to change, the least of which is traditional rocket launches. After accomplishing their missions, that is if successful, we only see a relatively small Crew Module splashing down in the ocean, just like in the old days of Apollo.

Fundamental changes are essential for any type of progress, especially in the Space industry. For one thing, traditional rocket launches are not economical due to more than 50% waste in hardware and excessive use of fuel, to say the least. Almost 95% of the weight of traditional rocket launches consist of fuel, most of which gets burned within the first eight minutes of launch. That is a tremendous waste of fuel, to say nothing about the negative environmental impacts.
