Recycling Lives is an award winning social welfare charity that provides opportunities to individuals facing an uncertain future through accommodation, education, training and work experience.
A 2010 winner of the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, Recycling Lives is a unique solution to the growing national problems of worklessness, homelessness and welfare dependency.
The Recycling Lives residential programme is a unique and innovative solution that begins by instilling confidence, self-belief and a strong work ethic, adds skills through both academic and vocational courses that hep the Resident become more employable and self-sufficient, and arranges work experience placements to give the Resident the opportunity to earn the skills and experience for future employment.
Once the Resident is ready, Recycling Lives assist them in finding a permanent job and their own home.
So far, 100% of individuals who have completed the Recycling Lives programme have successfully gone on to full-time employment and independent living.
