Refuge & Hope International is an FBO working with Urban Refugees in Kampala, Uganda.  In order for refugees to be successful in Kampala, they need to be able to speak, read and write English, the official language of Uganda. We offer English-as-a-second-language (ESL) as well as other academic courses to equip our students for jobs or advanced education opportunities.

Additionally, we offer skills and business training courses to empower refugees to land jobs or start businesses that provide a living wage so they can support themselves and their families.

In order to be successful at school or work, our students need to be emotionally and spiritually healthy. Since many in our community have experienced or witnessed traumatic events, we provide them with the counseling and individual or group support needed to help heal their emotional wounds and restore their hope.

Refuge & Hope is a 501c3, registered and headquartered in Alabaster, Alabama.
