RetireMapper is a free interactive web tool that helps people planning retirement abroad compare and rank 126 countries based on their personal priorities.

HOW IT WORKS
The free wizard walks you through 28 steps covering your home country, monthly budget, preferred languages, and how much each of 24 factors matters to you. As you adjust each slider, an interactive world map and ranked country list update in real time. Countries above your budget are shown separately. Your home country is excluded automatically. The entire wizard takes 15 to 30 minutes.
WHAT WE MEASURE
RetireMapper scores every country across 24 metrics covering eight categories:
Safety: peacefulness, homicide rates, personal violence risk, theft, assault, police confidence
Healthcare: healthy life expectancy, physician availability, out-of-pocket costs, life expectancy, universal health coverage
Governance: rule of law, corruption perception
Social: happiness, generosity, cost of housing relative to income
Housing: internet quality, drinking water safety
Migration: immigrant stock as a percentage of population
Environment: air quality, natural disaster risk, preferred climate
Values: currency stability
Data is sourced from internationally recognised indices including the WHO, World Bank, Global Peace Index, Gallup World Poll, Transparency International, IMF, UN, and others. All sources are cited within the tool.
THE REPORT
Users who want to go deeper can purchase a detailed report for $39. The report is generated from your exact wizard settings and delivered by email within minutes as a permanent private link.
Each report includes full profiles for your top 50 matching countries, covering category score breakdowns, plain-language country overviews written for prospective retirees, budget estimates, language profiles, city guides for over 1,000 cities, taxation and banking summaries, property ownership rules, and curated resource links. Summary profiles are included for all remaining countries.
Your report link is permanent - bookmark it and return whenever you need it. Each purchase includes up to 10 free updates, so if your priorities change you can regenerate your report at no extra cost using the same email address.
