About

Richardson Theatre Centre opened its doors in 1989. Long-time Richardson resident and avid theatre devotee Sandra Suitor founded the theatre. With the dedication of a team of volunteers, the curtain went up on their first show, Night Must Fall, in March of 1990. Sadly, Ms. Suitor died of cancer shortly thereafter,  but not before her dream of a permanent theatre in Richardson became a reality. For more than 25 years, Richardson Theatre Centre has provided high quality, live entertainment to audiences in the North Texas area. Conveniently located on Arapaho Road at Custer Road, right in the heart of Richardson, a few blocks away from City Hall with easy access to 75 Central Expressway, RTC’s black-box venue ensures patrons an “up close and personal” theatrical experience. Approximately 6,500 patrons come through our doors annually.
