About

The Royal Writers Organization is a  Non-Profit Youth Writing Program.  Free writing workshops are led by professionals in the areas of children's books, youth blogging, screen writing and song writing to name a few.

Passionate youth are led through the creative and business processes of each genre.   Participants travel through the various areas of writing by working with professionals in those areas.

Through apprenticeships they not only complete a finished work but are exposed to various careers related to their work. Workshops take place on line and in community locations.

Royal Writers workshops take children through the creative and formal stages of writing under the guidance of published and working artist.  Workshops take place on-line via cyber class and in the community at schools, organizations and institutions.  Workshops teach students how to produce, publish and market their creations.

Workshops begin with the use of various methodologies to encourage the creative process in children. Children are encouraged to challenge their fears and to make a strong concerted effort to produce, yet without the negative feelings associated with the pressures of school work.

Students are made to understand that the workshop is a medium of self-expression and are guided lovingly through the process without the fear of failure or judgment.

Upon finalizing the projects, children sell in various mediums and retain all rights, earnings and residuals from the sale of their works.

Students are encouraged to purchase works from others in the program allowing all to share in the exhilaration of entrepreneurship while encouraging literacy.
