About

We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3), all volunteer organization, affiliated with the Studio City Residents Association (SCRA). We are working with area leaders and regional organizations to protect the critical open space known as Weddington Golf and Tennis in Studio City in the San Fernando Valley. We have fought for over 19 years to protect this precious property, because we know that once it is lost, it can never be replaced. The Studio City area has over 40,000 residents and has seen traffic and congestion steadily worsen. Preserving green open space, mature trees, clean water and community recreational facilities are far more important than building another condo complex in an already over-built area with very few open space resources.

Our goals for this unique and irreplaceable property on the LA River:

Permanent preservation for public open space
Protect historical recreational facilities
Create natural water quality improvement opportunities
Enhance unique LA riverfront site
Restore natural habitat
Provide Los Angeles River and River Trail access
Ensure compatibility with LA City’s LA River Revitalization Master plan and other regional plans for the LA River
