SLR’s Canadian operations was founded on January 1991 and currently does business under the name SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd. Since then, the Canadian operations has grown to over 185 professionals located in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Winnipeg, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and the North West Territories. It provides global advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients. Key areas of SLR’s business in Canada are the Energy, Waste Management, and Mining & Minerals sectors, where it is involved with both the oil and gas industries, renewable power including wind, Energy from Waste (EfW), hydropower and biomass, and advising mining companies, Federal and Provincial government agencies, and funding organizations throughout the world.
