About

The Saucy Sisters, Barbara Nowak and Beverly Wichman, are siblings, best friends, frequent dining partners…and barstool companions. Whether it’s in front of a camera, behind a microphone or before  live groups, they bring their sense of humor and food and beverage knowledge to audiences nationwide.  They perform at mega-gatherings like wine and food festivals, at spouse events for corporate meetings, and in classrooms to train restaurant personnel on the finer points of wine service.

While audiences love the sisters for their banter and everywoman perspective, they’re equally respected as authors.  They've written The Saucy Sisters’ Guide To Wine: What Every Girl Should Know Before She Uncorks, The Everything Wine Book, Best Places to Eat in Nashville, Cook It Right, as well as articles on food, wine and entertaining in such publications as Wine Adventure Magazine, Coastal Living Magazine, Swirl Wine News and Complete Woman.

Barbara and Beverly are media personalities.  They’re the hosts, creators and executive producers of a radio show, Sauced!  They appear regularly on Nashville television stations doing lifestyle and entertaining segments and have made guest television appearances in 20 top and mid-level media markets.  They have also acted as product spokespersons for SMTs and infomercials.

On the release of their book, The Saucy Sisters’ Guide to Wine, they put their creative marketing skills to work.  They bought a van for one dollar, had it painted purple, packed it with books and wine and took off for a three-month promotional adventure around the country.  After hundreds of book signings, radio and television interviews, wine tastings and personal appearances (and 13,000 miles), they pulled their Grapemobile back into Barbara’s Franklin, Tennessee driveway where, only recently, it succumbed to old age.

In addition to their work as a team, Barbara was a food columnist for The Tennessean and for four seasons hosted regular cooking segments on HGTV’s Today At Home.   Beverly is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has worked for major US corporations and government institutions including the CIA.
