Schollegiate College Advisors is a team of experts that strive to help local families and students achieve their higher education goals. Lynette Bennett is the President and CEO.  Over 8,000 people have attended my class, “College Admissions and Financial Aid”.  The result is hundreds of students attend the college of their choice and graduate having paid less for their education.

Educating the student and parent is one of my major responsibilities. To educate the families in my practice, I first must be educated myself. I attend conferences, seminars, tour colleges/universities, network with admissions counselors, college officials, alumni and I stay updated on literature published by both colleges and college-evaluation organizations.

Lynette Bennett has authored Schollegiate Edge.  It is a manual students use to work through the college admissions and financial aid process in their high school years.  This book is truly unique because it addresses both issues.  Other college guides look at the admissions and financial aid process as separate.  Though the course of providing top quality information for families I realized I could not find a book to use as the framework for the program we teach to our students.  This is because in the literacy world, college admissions and college financial aid are dealt with independently of each other.  You can find many excellent books on both topics but not one that brings them together.  Most families must balance both admissions issues and financial aid issues.  Schollegiate Edge does this.

My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and a MBA from Michigan State University with a major in marketing.  I use this education to market students to the college of their choice.  I am a proud member of the Michigan Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC) and Associate Member of the Independent Education Consultant Association (IECA).  I am married and have five children. I am passionate about what I do and hope to continue providing valued service to the many families.

We also assist students in preparing for ACT and SAT exams as well as helping students to decide on which high schools to attend.
