About

My writing is dark. This does not mean my moods are the same. This is just a style and a side of me that I like to express. "Green Eyes Beyond the Dawn" is a dark, and somewhat depressing story about a young man struggling to understand his place in the world. He has had a tragic past, and feels that, although he is eighteen years old, adulthood is coming on too soon. He is afraid of life and people. I can relate to Joshua, because in a lot of ways he is my alter ego. I tell the story through his eyes, as he is looking through the eyes of Angela, his first love. This is a fantastic love story, coming of age story, and a novel that shows how hard it can be to grow up. How do we choose what we want to be? I believe it brings up some universal issues, like how do we find ourselves? What is love? What is trust?
I have been writing since I was 10 years old. I have always had a vivid imagination and a love of words. I am currently working on a follow-up to my first novel and a collection of my poetry. I would say that some of my influences, some of the people I admire and who have inspired me would be Jim Morrison of the 60's band The Doors. John Lennon of The Beatles. Most of my inspiration comes from music. I like books like; "On the Road"  and "Catcher in the Rye".  These are stories where the main character is trying to find himself, and as a reader, it forces me to face those same questions. I am hoping my novel will do the same for many others.
