Scream Score® is a biometric entertainment technology that measures how strongly the body responds to scary experiences. Using changes in heart rate, Scream Score turns a physiological response to fear into a simple number people can understand, share and compare.

Founded and invented by zoologist and experiential entertainment entrepreneur Heather Doggett, Scream Score was conceived in 2023 and developed and publicly demonstrated in 2024 and became publicly available in 2025.

Scream Score is designed for entertainment, not medical or diagnostic use. The technology can be used with compatible Apple Watch and Android devices to measure physiological responses during haunted attractions, horror experiences, movies and other entertainment.

The product has been tested and used in real-world horror and haunted-attraction settings and has received recognition in the experiential entertainment and technology industry, including third place in Blooloop's 2025 Experiential Technology Awards.

Scream Score is currently patent-pending and continues to expand its applications across horror, immersive entertainment and other experiences where people want to know just how scared they really were.
