SERVICE-EDU is a joint industry training program of Gates, MAHLE, NGK Spark Plugs and Timken, created to provide the highest quality professional training for technicians in the automotive service industry. In partnership with the automotive training expertise at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), the SERVICE-EDU curriculum is designed to provide professional classroom and hands-on training directly from automotive parts manufacturers to service technicians. The program provides technicians with a better understanding of why failures occur, how to diagnose them, and an appreciation for the benefits of utilizing the highest quality, name brand parts for service and repair operations. The OE-parts manufacturers behind SERVICE-EDU collectively supply the aftermarket with 25 different types of OE quality parts representing nine product categories.
