A local web based fashion business was launched in Fall 2008. Shubrah.com is now showing the Spring/ Summer 09 collection in an exclusive fashion show on May 22nd for TIE CON 2009.
Shiv-er is the men's label for this company. Shubrah.com uses organic or natural Asian fabrics and blends them with hand embroideries or graphics to create eco-friendly styles. A percentage of the profits are given to local and Indian non-profit organizations that work on environmental and children's issues.
The company has sustainable business practices. No stores, no paper - like catalogs, flyers and junk mail. Marketing is done through e-mail newsletters, viral marketing and trunk shows.
