The study reveals that 39% of photographers grapple with scheduling and booking
appointments, the most significant challenge identified. Managing finances and expenses
troubled 25% of respondents, while 18% each found difficulty with marketing and acquiring
new clients and time management.
“Photographers should be able to focus on their craft, not be burdened by the administrative
complexities of running a business," says Adam Fried, CEO of ShootQ. "Our platform is
designed to alleviate these pain points. From automated booking to comprehensive financial
management, ShootQ enables photographers to devote more time to their passion and less
to paperwork."
When it comes to engagement preferences, interactive and educational content took center
stage.About 52% of respondents found value in product demos or tutorials, 31% leaned
towards case studies, and 17% preferred whitepapers or guides. This data will significantly
influence ShootQ's approach to content creation, ensuring it delivers the resources its
audience finds most valuable.
An impressive 94% of participants expressed a heightened interest in campaigns featuring
personalized marketing messages, stressing the significance of a tailored approach in
effectively engaging with the photography community.
“Understanding these engagement preferences equips us to meet photographers where
they're most active, delivering personalized, meaningful content that resonates with them,”
shares Lory Niculae, Partner, SVP of Marketing at ShootQ.
The survey also noted the preferred social media platforms for business, with respondents
leaning towards Instagram (33%), closely followed by Facebook (32%), Twitter (24%), and
LinkedIn (11%).
