About

Space My Face aims to gather as many faces as possible and video a mega photo collage floating into near space via a weather balloon.  Backers will see video of their photo in a collage with hundreds of others launched from ground level in Melbourne, Australia up to approximately 100,000ft.  Video will show the curvature of the earth contrasted against the blackness of space.
Less than 600 people have ever been to space.  Space My Face intends to let countless more faces flirt with the idea and blackness of space.  The photo collage will be attached to a small payload vessel armed with a GoPro camera to film the journey in high resolution video.  The payload will be attached to a helium filled weather balloon.  Upon reaching approximately 100,000ft, the weather balloon will burst.  A parachute will deploy and float the payload safely down to earth.  A GPS tracker within the payload will alert and guide the ground crew to the final resting location for recovery.
Countless people have fantasized about travelling to space and reaching worlds beyond ours.  Space My Face intends to bring that fantasy just a tiny bit closer and bring the dream of space travel to our computer screens.
“Space has always been out of reach to the masses.  Space My Face aims to take your inner astronaut into the stratosphere” said Matt Burnett, Founder of Space My Face.
The Kickstarter campaign aims to raise $7,900 AUD to purchase materials for launch, administer and create the photo collage.  The campaign runs through to 5-Jun-2016.
