About

Spirit Foodservice, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of injection-molded, polystyrene bar and foodservice accessories, extruded polypropylene straws and sip-stirs, and a variety of cups, containers and lids. Spirit's products are designed to give its customers a means to serve their patrons in unique and colorful ways.

Spirit’s heritage is innovation since it was their founder, Jay Sindler, who invented the first cocktail pick 75 years ago. Since then, Spirit has assisted some of the largest restaurant chains, hotels and liquor companies in the country build their brands and differentiate their offerings.

The company is headquartered north of Boston, with three manufacturing facilities spread out across the southern region of the U.S. – Texas, California and Florida.

Businesses serving cocktails and beverages that call for stirring, garnishing, sipping or slurping all benefit from Spirit’s product offerings. As with the company’s beverage industry goods, most all foodservice related products are customizable/printable to help businesses promote their brand, new menu item or special event.

All Spirit's polystyrene products are recyclable where recycling for the #6 is available and their wooden products have always been biodegradable. The company is now offering earth-friendly, biodegradable and compostable paper straws that are both sturdy and long lasting.

More recently, Spirit has been investigating new eco-friendly materials for manufacturing their products such as starch-based resins like PolyLactic Acid (PLA) which is corn-based, Post-Consumer Resin (PCR) which are plastics created from recycled materials, and other biodegradable, thermoplastic materials or “bioplastics” such as Plastarch Material (PSM).
