About Stella! Baking Company
Pastry Chef Mark Conte graduated from the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, NJ in 1993 with a Gold Medal. He's part of just a handful of all-time graduates who graduated with a 4.0 GPA. His culinary internship was carried out at The Grand Floridian Resort, in Walt Disney World. Returning for his second year of culinary school, Mark presided as president of the Culinary Student Association. Upon graduating, work demands forced him to choose between an uncertain future in unique cakes, or a more sure-footed career in the kitchen as a chef. Work won out, and creating custom cakes would be placed on hold for nearly 18 years. Over the years, Mark remained active in creating custom cakes as works of art for family and friends. After many suggestions, and much prodding, from friends & family, Mark finally decided to follow his dreams, and is now bringing his pride, passion, and talent to each one of Stella! Baking Company's custom cakes.
