About

Stephanie Thomas is a Vermont-based children’s author who writes magical, heart-centered books for children, families, educators, and caregivers. Her stories use fantasy, adventure, and gentle humor to help children understand sensory differences, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity.

Her books include Leo and the Dragon of Sound, a sensory-aware fantasy adventure about sound sensitivity, bravery, and empathy, as well as upcoming titles focused on shower aversion, stimming, picky eating, and moving at one’s own pace. Stephanie’s work is especially meaningful for autistic, sensory-sensitive, and neurodivergent children, while remaining welcoming and relatable for all young readers.

As both a children’s author and training professional, Stephanie brings warmth, clarity, and compassion to her writing. Her mission is to create books where every child gets to be the hero of their own story.
