About |
Superior Smokers is an American manufacturer of premium offset barbecue smokers built in Saginaw, Michigan. Every smoker is designed and fabricated in the United States using American steel and domestic labor, supporting skilled manufacturing jobs and a U.S. based supply chain.
While the company serves the barbecue market, its foundation is rooted in industrial manufacturing disciplines more commonly associated with aerospace, defense, and large-scale equipment production. Superior Smokers operates alongside a team of American engineers and fabricators who design and manufacture massive industrial holding tanks, aerospace components, and defense-related equipment where tolerances, repeatability, and accountability are critical. Those same standards, and the same people, are applied directly to the smokers the company builds.
Superior Smokers was founded by Jeremy Hengy, Camron Pytleski, and barbecue educator Jeremy Yoder of MadScientistBBQ. The partnership was formed after an in-person tour of the company’s Saginaw manufacturing facility, where Yoder saw firsthand the level of American engineering and fabrication behind the operation. That visit led to a shared vision: apply aerospace and defense-grade manufacturing standards to traditional offset barbecue smokers.
Unlike mass-market or imported barbecue equipment, Superior Smokers treats each smoker as mission critical equipment rather than a consumer appliance. Material selection, weld quality, airflow balance, and thermal performance are engineered for durability, consistency, and long-term use. Heavy-gauge American steel and disciplined fabrication processes are central to every build.
The result of that collaboration is The Evolution, Superior Smokers’ flagship offset smoker. The Evolution was developed by combining the best ideas from decades of hands-on cooking experience with industrial engineering principles refined through American manufacturing. Rather than relying on digital automation or thin materials, the smoker is designed to reward skilled fire management through predictable airflow, heat retention, and structural integrity.
Jeremy Hengy oversees day-to-day operations and serves as the public face of Superior Smokers. He manages customer communication directly, represents the brand across social media, and acts as the primary point of contact for customers before and after purchase. Camron Pytleski leads manufacturing execution and fabrication standards, while Jeremy Yoder contributes product development insight and cooking performance validation through MadScientistBBQ.
Superior Smokers represents a new category in barbecue equipment, American-made offset smokers built by American engineers and fabricators using standards drawn from aerospace, defense, and heavy industry. The company’s mission is simple: support American manufacturing, create American jobs, and build offset smokers the right way, without compromise.
