THE BRITISH TRAINING BOARD
Our community is the Armed Forces community. Our goal is to make the training and skills you achieved in the Armed Forces recognised by civilian employers and get you the best start on the way to your second career and to help you with your qualifications while still serving.
Since October 2014 The British Training Board has been operating and conducting market research into the skills translation market. Since the launch in 2014, we have successfully helped 2246 serving and Ex-military personnel to get recognition for the previous military training and experience. The research pilot finished on 30 September 2017.
On the 5th October 2017, the Launch of the new British Training Board services included: one to one career coaching, skill translator service, jobs board, virtual CV, guarantee interviews with our partner organisations, signposting to services and support, a full members area and free online training.
Armed Forces Community Academy (AFCA)
is the only dedicated site for the whole of the Armed Forces community. We will career pathway you in the Armed Forces, keep you on track with your qualifications while SERVING and when you’re ready to RESETLE we will point you in the Right direction with our Right Foot Forward approach. And when your service is done we will help you as a VETERAN to start your new career. Our support also extends to your immediate family and we all know that partners/spouses and dependants have a hard time and we think they should get something back. So, we have a program that will do just that.
