About

TREE AID International is an NGO which is dedicated to supporting villagers in the drylands of Africa to grow, use and protect trees to lift themselves out of poverty and protect the environment. TREE AID has internationally recognised expertise in preventing deforestation and promoting sustainable development and has recently been awarded provisional Observer Status by the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.

We work in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali and Niger and have helped more than half-a-million people across Africa grow more than ten million trees. We work with partners at all levels from village to government to make sure the voice of the poorest is at the centre of forestry policy.
