A HISTORY OF THE MAN FROM ALEXANDRIA:

Who was Jesus? A bishop recently used His biography to illustrate an excellent theological point. He described Him as 'an uneducated man from Nazareth, son of a poor carpenter named Joseph who preached in several synagogues.'

The implicabon is that all the wisdom Jesus exhibits comes from God, who would have informed Him of modern technology. In contrast, Jesus demonstrates a detailed knowledge of Alexandrine's philosophy. Then why would a poor carpenter travel to Bethlehem to register for Roman taxabon? The Roman taxabon system depended upon idenbfying and grabbing a porbon of wealth.

In this book, we answer these problems by examining the New Testament and aeempbng to separate myth from history. We arrive at the almost inevitable conclusion that Jesus was the son of Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy merchant of Alexandria. He received His educabon at the best insbtubons of the bme and married Mary Magdalene to qualify to speak in a synagogue.
We use the King James version's text and compare different accounts of the same incidents to see how the Chrisban Church came to be.
