The Silver Files was created with you in mind. While working with older adults and their caregivers in the long term care industry, Jennifer Severance and Kimberly Shoaf noticed two major issues of older adults and their caregivers when seeking care: (1) an overwhelming feeling while navigating the senior care system and (2) a need for multiple services to meet the diverse needs and conditions that many individuals face. Despite the presence of these factors, there remained a lack of coordinated information, leaving many seniors and caregivers with disjointed efforts, unmet needs and unplanned costs. Until now. With the combined experience of over 25 years of long term care, and with the combined formal education of over 12 years in the discipline of Gerontology, Severance and Shoaf bring together a practical and informed approach to bringing diverse solutions for the unique needs and desires of older adults.
