Fremont High School teachers are in solidarity with all other OUSD teachers in our demands to lower class sizes, increase student support services, and pay teachers a living wage. OUSD places funds in multiple areas that do not directly impact students, as opposed to in classrooms, or in pay to retain good teachers, who we need to keep in the district. We are looking for community support in keeping schools in Oakland, for Oakland students, retaining teachers in Oakland, who can afford to live in Oakland.
