Founded in 1994, Togonon Gallery is located in Union Square area representing West Coast artists and exhibiting artists of national and international appeal. While Togonon artists explore a wide range of media and aesthetics (including painting, sculpture and photography in the realm of Realism, Abstract Expressionism, Bay Area Figuration, Minimalism and Post-Minimalism), a common thread runs through much of the work: subject matter of universal resonance is filtered through temperament and the experience of contemporary life with strong global influences, balancing cultural hybridity, new social networks, technological evolution, and environmentalism.
Our institutional clients include leading museums and collections, ranging from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to the Smithsonian. We also cater to individual collectors, casual art buyers and entry-level/first time purchasers.
